I guess I'm the old codger here at age 78. I was baptized 3 days before my 16th birthday. It was November 4, 1956.
Ed Dunlap would give the featured talk on Sunday. You can read his sad tale of exiting WT in Ray Franz's book. A bit about him in the following youtube link:

Here, I had just been dunked along with a native American. I always wondered why he retained his headdress. One dictionary defines it this way: "an ornamental covering or band for the head, especially one worn on ceremonial occasions."

Beginning with sentence 4, Morris used the expression "prayerfully considering" 4 times, count 'em, by the time he finished sentence 7.
Remembering the TMS some 42 years ago we called that "repetition for emphasis". I think, however, that this time he overcooked it.

Blondie: I can't believe I have never read that classic I clicked on your link and there is a volume of profound quotations here's one of my favorites
Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them.”

I would not have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. A major Watchtower blunder, one within the last 3 years or so. I can't pin it down, but it doesn't really matter when.
I discovered it after I downloaded from JW dot org the latest WT Lib 2017 file. It's an ISO file and on Windows 10 it's an easy matter to install it.
When I compared certain quotations on this essay I was blown away by position 10 (refer to essay). There, WT nullified position 9 in which they finally had joined mainstream Christianity and where they conceded that "rather than be dogmatic", they would wait on Jehovah.
The blunder? In this download of the ISO several days ago, it became clear that they had back-edited Insight on the Scriptures, a 1988 hard bound research book. There, you will see what they did in position 10. There, once again, Sodomites will not get a resurrection.
We have no way of knowing but I believe it's simply a case of the right hand not knowing what the left hand is doing. A simple blunder.
By the way, the original link on page 1 of this post should still work. What follows is a snippet of a part of page 2.
